Correction
March 3’s “’Starfish’ Polymer has Lube Benefits” should not have said Lubrizol might use a new self-healing polymer technology to extend oil life. The company did not say it will use the polymer in engine oils, and said it does not promote extending oil drain intervals because these depend on myriad operational factors.
