Bijur Buys British Manufacturer
By Tim Sullivan Bijur Lubrication Group announced Monday that it has acquired another lubrication system manufacturer, the British company Denco Lubrication Ltd. Bijur, which claims to be one of the world’s largest lube system suppliers, said it made the purchase to broaden its product offerings and geographical reach. “[Denco] has a solid reputation and loyal customer base,” President and Chief Operating Officer Thomas W. Arndt said. “They will complement [Bijur’s] Delimon Lubrication line and give our customers on a global basis a wider product offering and faster access to service operations.” Based in Hereford, England, Denco designs, builds, installs and services centralized lubrication systems, along with roll coolant, oil recirculation and cooling water systems. Its sells primarily to heavy-duty industrial markets such as steel making and mining. Neither Denco nor Bijur disclosed the price of the transaction. Bijur said it will immediately merge Denco with Delimon, which is one of five subsidiaries and which is based in Germany. Products will be sold under the name Delimon-Denco. Bijur described Denco as a market leader in the United Kingdom and very active in the Middle East, the Americas and Asia-Pacific. “With the acquisition of Denco Lubrication, we are making another important step in order to achieve worldwide presence,” said Jorg Czempisz, managing director of Delimon-Denco and of Delimon in Germany and Austria. “Denco Lubrication is a very successful company in the U.K., and its product and service range fits perfectly into the overall portfolio.” Privately-owned Bijur is headquartered in Morrisville, N.C., and has manufacturing facilities there and in Germany, Ireland and China. In addition to being one of the world’s largest manufacturers of lubrication systems, it claims to offer the broadest range of products, from simple single-point grease feeders to complex automatic systems that dispense oil or grease to hundreds of lubrication points. Among the industries it serves are machine tools, railroad, steel, mining, printing, food and beverage, textiles and material handling.
