Greetings LewerMark clients and friends! In an effort to provide a service to you and other college and university student health insurance administrators, The Lewer Agency is proud to introduce the LewerMark Express. 

Since introducing the print version of the LewerMark client newsletter 10 years ago, which many of you may know as the Benefit Highlighter, something quite spectacular happened - our clients all now have email addresses! And according to members of the LewerMark Advisory Council, it was time we "caught up with technology!"

Now that we've completed significant website upgrades, we've had the breather we needed to work on revamping our newsletter. We hope you enjoy this first issue and that it provides you with information that will help you serve your students. If you find that LewerMark Express is not of value to you, please utilize the "opt-out" link and forward the newsletter to the individuals at your school or university who have an interest in keeping up with the latest trends in health insurance for domestic and international students, or who are responsible for the management of risk on your campus. They can use the "subscribe" link to continue receiving the quarterly LewerMark Express newsletter.

I would like to personally thank DeDe Long, our client and good friend from the University of Arkansas, for allowing The Lewer Agency to “profile” her and her viewpoints regarding the recent Simon Bill headlines and her new and exciting position with NAFSA. DeDe is a very busy woman, as many of you know, and we appreciate her time with this project as well as her past involvement with the LewerMark Advisory Council. During her tenure, DeDe was very helpful in our ongoing mission to bring LewerMark clients the programs and services needed to best serve their students and families. With her help, we have been able to remove student health insurance administrators from what many of them refer to as being in the time-consuming "insurance business" against their wills.

Since The Lewer Agency introduced its first student insurance plans over a decade ago, we have formed many friendships among our ever-expanding circles of clients and associations in international education and we realize that you are a very close group. Many of our clients know each other on a professional as well as a personal level. As such, your contributions to the newsletter are certain to be of interest to your peers, so please do not hesitate to drop us a line and share what's on your mind.
