Effective September 1, 2008, travel arrangements for parents planning a trip abroad to visit their kids can conveniently and cost-effectively be arranged through The Lewer Agency’s travel partner, Travel Leaders, formerly Carlson Wagonlit Travel.
Parents find that travel plans made through Travel Leaders are often more affordable, reduce the possibilities of any travel-related annoyances, and increase the chances that this special time spent with loved ones is as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.
Once logged-on the Travel Leaders website, parents click on the LewerMark Parent Benefit link to learn more about the program or to book travel. According to a Travel Leaders spokesperson, “many people think that they’ll only find the best flights or vacation packages on their own. Not true! At Travel Leaders, we have special access to more packages, more low prices and flights you may not find elsewhere, such as charter flights, and when it comes to a destination, we know all of the best-kept secrets.”
“Our job doesn’t end once your travel arrangements are made,” according to the website. “We’re here for you before, during, and after your trip,” referring to a Travel Leaders policy to follow-up with clients after they return home to ensure their travel arrangements were Travel Leaders-perfect.
“We brain-stormed the idea to offer parent travel assistance for our Study Abroad client schools because of first-hand experience reported from the president of The Lewer Agency, Mike Lewer, whose daughter and son both studied abroad during their college years,” said LewerMark director, Jeff Crawford. “It made sense to offer this service for parents affiliated with the LewerMark plan through their associations with our client schools. Travel Leaders will show them the best deals at the best price.”
"Visiting a son or daughter studying abroad is a very special experience," reported Mike. "We visited our daughter, Nicole, while she was studying in Madrid and our memories of the trip are still cherished. Nicole was so proud and excited to share a part of her new world and demonstrate her language skills. And, having one of your children arrange and lead a tour exploring the cities and culture of their adopted country is an experience a parent never forgets. I would really encourage parents to take advantage of this opportunity to share one of the most memorable and enjoyable experiences you'll share as a family."
Client schools are urged to notify their Study Abroad students of this new service offered through the LewerMark plan. Travel arrangements can be made online, or via the Travel Leaders toll-free telephone number, 800-464-2286. Inquiries may also be emailed to the LewerMark Parent Benefit coordinator at Travel Leaders at email@example.com
