Masters combine to open new door for Bev

Masterdor and Sheerline approved installer Masterdeck have teamed up to open new doors and make life better for a York mum of two.

MS sufferer Bev Dawson has been largely housebound since her condition worsened and she was confined to a wheelchair earlier this year.

Grand designs with ICF Tech in Somerset

Selecting the right construction method provided architect Simon Corbett with the scope to realise his architectural vision for a stunning newbuild dwelling in Somerset.

The result – Pine Combe in Rowberrow is a model of light, open and sustainable design and a showcase for the benefits of ICF construction.

Sheerframe bi-fold doors with 0.8 U-value

Future-proofing bi-fold doors

With the Bank of England predicting  household energy prices going up by 15% this winter and the next Part L review already on the horizon, Sheerframe offers a bi-fold door system capable of delivering future-proof energy performance with U-values as low as 0.8 W/m2K.

The current Building Regulations Part L allows for bi-fold doors with minimum U-values of 1.8 W/m2K, so many door-sets are typically between a 1.4 and1.8 U-value.

Crack the Code with new window and door guide

The Litchfield Group has launched an updated version of its brochure detailing how six star ratings under the code for sustainable homes can be achieved using Sheerframe windows and doors.

The simple eight-page guide provides advice to housebuilders, social housing providers and private homeowners. It outlines the government’s policy on reducing carbon emissions and explains how buildings can gather points towards star ratings.
