Asset Fineline meets North Circular homes refurb brief

More than 250 homes which have lain unused in North London for three decades have been brought back to life with Sheerframe windows and rear doors from social housing fenestration specialist Asset Fineline.

The company is working with contractor Durkan to replace the windows and doors in a large group of 1920s-built properties owned and managed by Notting Hill Housing Trust in the Bounds Green area of North London. These will provide much needed affordable houses and flats in the Enfield Council area.

Green business awards commendation for
CMS Enviro Systems

Leading Scottish fenestration contractor CMS Enviro Systems has won a special commendation in Scotland’s top environment business awards.

The company, which fabricates and installs Sheerframe windows and installs Masterdor door-sets, won the commendation for its achievements in the Waste & Resources Award category at the VIBES 2011 Awards.  These annual awards recognise companies in Scotland that are taking significant steps to improve or reduce their impact on the environment.

Sheerframe-Masterdor combo provides retrofit model

Leading social housing window and door fabricator and installer Wakefield Metroglaze has played a key role in a landmark Retrofit for the Future project in Nottinghamshire which provides a model for upgrading a common 1950s and 60s house type.

The company has supplied and installed high performance triple glazed Sheerframe casement windows, plus a Masterdor Thermal 54mm, triple glazed door-set, at Mayfair Place in Tuxford, Newark where improvements aim to achieve an 80% reduction in energy use of the A1 Housing property. 

Coalville's newbuild success continues with Linden Homes contract

Coalville Glass & Glazing has been appointed to provide Sheeframe windows and doors for 75 new properties on Linden Homes’ latest development in Lincoln.

Work is well underway on Linden Homes’ stylish Oasis development which comprises traditional two and three-storey townhouses and apartments with two, three and four bed options. They will feature Sheerframe casement and vertically sliding sash windows manufactured and installed by the successful Leicestershire-based windowmaker to Secured by Design standard.
