Lakewood's Senior Health Fair will be held Friday, June 8, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the Weingart Senior Center. Health related information and free screenings will be available throughout the morning. The event is free and open to the public. Call the senior center, 5220 Oliva Avenue, at 562-630-6141 for additional information after May 29.
Lunch is available for those 60+ and will be provided by Human Services Association at the usual donation of $2.25. Those under the age of 60 are welcome to eat at a cost of $4.50. For a lunch reservation, call 562-630-6210 after June 4.
A variety of health screenings are typically offered:
- Hearing tests
- Balance Testing
- Spinal and scoliosis screenings
- Glucose and blood pressure testing
- Cholesterol Screening
- Massage therapy
- Body fat analysis
- Trigger point and muscular health
