Graduate Listing
Shaun Barry, CMR: AstraZeneca Pharmaceuticals, Class of 2005
Shaun Barry, a Pharmaceutical Sales Specialist in the Cardiovascular Division at AstraZeneca for four years, brings with him a strong foundation of entrepreneurial expertise and leadership skill sets gained while building and running his financial services practice. Shaun credits his knowledge of group dynamics and organizational behavior to his experience coordinating and balancing the needs of his former financial practice, his clients and his employees – his physicians gain value from that skill in their work with Shaun.

Shaun believes that credibility is the backbone of any successful employee, campaign, or organization, and feels the CMR designation, with a concentration in pharmaceutical management, strengthens his value proposition for integrating components of healthcare--patients, policies, outcomes, and financial resources. Shaun credits the CMR coursework with providing the knowledge base to actively engage physicians in meaningful dialog that transcends the sales process.  In addition, the CMR certification has served Shaun well professionally, as he has placed in several awards/contests including:  “Amazing Race,” “Acceleration Across the Nation,” and “Tri-State Tsunami” awards.

Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Shaun worked as a Financial Consultant at Creative Financial Group, a New England/Met-Life affiliate, where he tailored financial programs to businesses and individuals through licenses in Wealth Accumulation/Distribution, Advanced Tax Strategies, Insurance/Investment Planning, and Executive Compensation Plans.  Shaun has further distinguished himself as a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst versed in communicative discourses; and he has studied the Kaizen International Business Approach while working as a Training Coordinator at United Technologies Corp.-- Pratt & Whitney.  Currently, he is pursuing a M.S. in Health Systems at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey offered through the educational alliance between CMR Institute and UMDNJ.

Shaun resides in Delaware with his wife Angel, a fifth grade teacher. In his spare time, he is a competitive U. S. Masters Swimmer and is involved in the Variety Club for Children of Philadelphia and the Childrens Hope Foundation.
