Powered Speakers

The core hardware component to Digital Acoustics' paging solution is the ii3-ESS IP Audio Amplifier module. The ii3-ESS can drive a single 8-Ohm speaker, or multiple speakers in an array. With the addition of a universal 25/70V transformer, a series of speakers can be powered by a single ii3-ESS, with the quantity of speakers determined by required output levels. With a maximum output of 20 watts (8 Ohms), the ii3-ESS is capable of driving paging horns with sound pressure levels in excess of 120 db SPL. For low output applications (<8 watts) the ii3 modules can use Power over Ethernet (PoE). For higher output applications (>8 watts) an external power supply is required.

ii3-Intercom Modules

The ii3-EDW, ii3-ESW solutions are designed for desktop convenience; the ii3-ESW is designed to be surface mounted in secure locations. Also available in Black desktop model as EDB.

TalkMaster’s easy to understand screen controls provide Talk or Listen functions, manage incoming intercom calls (via a call queue), play pre-recorded files and communicate to one, or a group of ii3 IP Intercoms or paging stations. Administrative options include the use of an on-board digital audio recorder DAR) for optional recording of conversations. Relay control, transfer capabilities and patent-pending redundancy functions add additional functionality and reliability.

Using TalkMaster LE, systems may be configured for point-to-point or point-to-multipoint modes. In point-to-point applications, two intercoms may be configured for direct push-to-talk functionality without the requirement of a PC.

In point-to-multipoint applications, TalkMaster provides intercom management for hundreds of ii3 2-wayIntercoms or public address paging stations. TalkMaster’s unique intercom management system is completely software-based and scalable. Additional intercoms and stations may be added one endpoint at a time by adding ii3 hardware to available network Ethernet connections.
