We Love Movies
Warm up this month to films that everyone in your family will enjoy.

If winter leaves you cold, head to the movies for a night of fun. Whether it’s with your family or a date night, there are plenty of films out this month that will keep you laughing (and maybe even singing along). Get that box of popcorn or candy and enjoy the show!

For the one who hums a theme song for hours:

Pink Panther 2 (PG)

In this sequel to the 2006 film, The Pink Panther, Inspector Clouseau (Steve Martin) finds himself teaming up with detectives from other countries to rout the daring cat burglar, The Tornado, who has returned after a decade of inactivity. Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus sends Clouseau away from France on a holiday. When Clouseau leaves France, the Pink Panther diamond is stolen again. It’s up to Closeau and the other detectives – Inspector Pepperidge, Vincenzo, Kenji and Sophie – to solve the case of the Pink Panther diamond, identify The Tornado and solve the theft of the Magna Carta. The film is scheduled to open on February 6. www.sonypictures.com/movies/thepinkpanther2/.

For the one who still plays with a light saber (and hums a theme song):

Fanboys (PG-13)

A group of Star Wars fanatics travel across the country on a mission to steal a print of Star Wars: Episode 1 – The Phantom Menace from Skywalker Ranch and become the first fans to see the film. Starring Sam Huntington, Chris Marquette, Dan Fogler, Jay Baruchel and Kristen Bell, the film is a road movie meets comedy meets drama. Making appearances in the film are William Shatner, obsessed Trekkies and bikers. Fanboys is scheduled to open on February 6. www.fanboys-themovie.com/.

For the one who loves a good sale:

Confessions of a Shopaholic (PG)

In this movie based on Sophia Kinsella’s books Confessions of a Shopaholic and Shopaholic Takes Manhattan, Isla Fisher (best known as the crazy bridesmaid in Wedding Crashers) stars as Rebecca Bloomwood, a 25 year old. Rebecca lives with her best friend, Suze (Kyrsten Ritter), in Suze’s flat in a trendy part of New York, and works as a writer for a financial magazine. Rebecca has a shopping addiction, but her job doesn’t pay enough. With the bills piling up, she tries – hilariously, but unsuccessfully – to cut back. Eventually, she discovers a story she’s truly invested in and gets the attention of a (male) colleague that she hasn’t figured out yet. Drama and hilarity ensue, quite fashionably, of course, as she tries to snag the guy and pay off her ever-growing debt. Confessions of a Shopaholic is scheduled to open on February 13. www.bluefly.com/media/promotions/flash/shopaholic/main/shopaholic.html.

For the one who has a teenage daughter:

Jonas Brothers 3-D Experience (G)

Follow the fab three – Kevin, Nick and Joe – as they cross the country on their “Burning Up” Tour. You’ll get a behind-the-scenes peek at life on the road, from hitting the stage to backstage adventures. On-stage performances were filmed in Anaheim, California, at the Honda Center, and in New York City at Madison Square Garden. The film also guest stars Demi Lovato and Taylor Swift who perform with the band. Jonas Brothers 3-D Experience is scheduled to open on February 27. www.disney.go.com/disneypictures/jonasbrothers3d/.

Have fun at the movies!
