John Walsh Child Safety Life Print Event was a Success

Parents and children came from all over Dane County School Districts and day care centers to participate in the John Walsh Life Print Child Safety Event at Jon Lancaster Toyota. There were over 350 children who got their finger prints and digital photo in the National FBI Database. The John Walsh Foundation has created this event to make sure law enforcement authorities have the data for an amber alert, once a child goes missing.

The Tibetan New Year, Losar, started on February 14th. This is the year of the Iron Tiger. The Tibetan word Losar translated into English language means New Year. This year brings celebration with family, friends, plenty of food and prayers. Tashi Chomor is our guest chef, who grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal, and would like to share one of her family’s recipes, Sweet Rice. This dish is prepared for a special time, Losar morning or at weddings. It blends rice, raisins, sugar, butter and one pinch of saffron. The dish can be prepared warm or at room temperature.
