A dream realized
by Ruth Rasnic, L.O. - Combat Violence Against Women

The Legal Aid Center of the Herzliya head offices of L.O. - Combat Violence Against Women started functioning in mid May.

The Center - Merkaz Edna, named after the late Edna Shlomovitz, represents women victims of violence, who are not eligible for public legal aid and unable to afford fees demanded by Israeli lawyers.

Over 80 lawyers, mostly women, applied for the position and two excellent candidates were chosen by the steering committee made up of volunteer lawyers and the executive director.

We are working with volunteer lawyers, pro bono lawyers and lawyers working with the Israeli Legal Aid and for the same fees.

The steering committee assists our incoming professional in her new position.

Good luck, hard work and dedication to our cause will assure the success of this venture.

Founder & Executive Director
