The Ambassador will discuss economic and political developments in Israel, commenting on recent occurrences in the Middle East Conflict, opportunities for cultural and economic cooperation between the Untied States and Israel, and reactions to Israel’s role as haven for Sudanese refugees.

JCRC/NAACP Third Annual MLK, Jr Commemoration

This year's commemoration will focus on the impact of dual identities and stereotypes, featuring Dr. Carolivia Herron, African-American Jewish author of Nappy Hair, and Y-Love, African-American Jewish hip hop sensation. Operation Understanding, DC will be honored with the King-Heschel Award in recognition of their years of outstanding work bringing together African-American and Jewish teens throughout the Greater Washington Area.
