Our Russian Practice
We're used to unusual requests from our clients, but the voice mail we received from Getnick & Getnick earlier this month was certainly one of the most unusual.

"We'd like to have you post a section of the site in Russian," we were told.

Now, we're no stranger to foreign language postings -- the Morris Chamber of Commerce Web site we designed and host has long included a section in Mandarin Chinese, and our work for 1119 National Benefit and Pension Funds includes a section in Spanish. But the Getnick & Getnick request was to get the section up within two days, and the time difference meant that we were sleeping while the Russian translator was working, and vice versa!

But we are pleased to report we were able to accommodate the request -- and thanks to our native Russian speaker and technical partner, Kirill Malkin, were able to exceed expectations!

Timeless Timeline
As we've reported previously, we're hard at work getting the IATSE International site up and running. A good many of us this month were involved in creating a comprehensive database of content and images, derived from IA's 100th anniversary book and beyond.

It caused no little excitement here to have our conference room strewn with vintage photos of behind the scenes at the films or theatre -- including amazing photos with such luminaries as Charlie Chaplin, John Wayne, Bob Hope, and others.

By this time next month, you should be able to view the timeline itself -- along with the rest of the IA site!
