Thomas Brett joins Fogler, Rubinoff LLP. Tom's practice is focused in energy law, both the regulatory and transactional aspects. He has had a lengthy career in public service, private industry and as a practicing lawyer, most recently with a large downtown Toronto law firm.
Tom represents clients before the Ontario Energy Board and the National Energy Board. He provides strategic and policy advice to clients on energy matters. His transactional work includes power purchase agreements, gas and electricity procurement, energy project development, construction and operating agreements, energy savings performance contracts and electricity connection agreements. He represents clients in the oil and gas, nuclear, electricity and renewables sectors, and in all phases of the business, including producers, pipelines, transmission and distribution utilities and end use consumers.
