Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP, Michigan

DETROIT (Dec. 17, 2007) – Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP congratulates 65 of their attorneys recognized in the 2008 edition of The Best Lawyers in America.

Of all the major law firms, Honigman had the most attorneys in the following categories within Michigan: Commercial Litigation, Corporate Governance and Compliance, Corporate, Franchise, Insurance, Real Estate, Land Use and Zoning, Health Care, Leveraged Buyouts and Private Equity, Mergers & Acquisitions, Venture Capital and Tax.

“This honor confirms Honigman’s reputation as the pre-eminent full-service business law firm in Michigan,” said Alan S. Schwartz, CEO of Honigman. “We congratulate those attorneys recognized for their continual commitment to performing sophisticated and in-depth work that achieves unparalleled results and value for our clients.”

Of the 65 named, 19 attorneys have been included in The Best Lawyers in America for at least 10 years and eight have appeared on the list for at least 20 years.

For reference, the names of all 65 Honigman attorneys named by the Best Lawyers are included in the press release posted on the homepage of Honigman’s Web site (www.honigman.com).

The Best Lawyers lists, representing 80 practice categories in all 50 states and Washington, D.C., are compiled through an exhaustive peer-review survey in which thousands of the top lawyers in the U.S. confidentially evaluate their professional peers. First published in 1983, Best Lawyers is widely regarded as the preeminent referral guide to the legal profession in the United States. The 2008 Best Lawyers list includes 239 Michigan law firms and recognizes 870 attorneys.
