 The Delhi Integrated Multi Model Transit System Limited, (DIMTS) a Joint
Venture Company with 50: 50 percent contribution from Government of National
Capital Territory Region of Delhi and Infrastructure Development Finance
Company Limited., with an objective to control rising congestion, air
pollution, fuel consumption and road accidents in Delhi. DIMTS will be implemented
in Delhi by various methods of transportation like monorail, elevated
rail system, high capacity bus service etc. In view of the mandate given by
Government of Delhi DMITS in collaboration with IDFC which is also a joint
venture partner is formulating a scheme for participation of private corporations
and co-operative societies for eventual replacement of blue line buses in
Delhi in order to control the operation of private operators and reduce the
number of accidents in Delhi. DIMTS has appointed Singhania and Partners,
as legal consultants for preparation of scheme and eventual implementation of
the project. The Project which is formulated for Delhi is a unique system by
which the buses will be run in Delhi under GPS (Global Positioning System)
with new facilities including the system of smart card which can be used in any
modes of transportation in Delhi. The entire system of transportation will be so
coordinated in such a way that the entire transportation system runs smoothly
in Delhi. The mandated project includes formulation of scheme, preparation
of bid documents and for eventual agreement for implementation of project.
The project which is being implemented for Delhi is expected to be better than
the systems run in other parts of developed world.

 Madhya Pradesh Housing Board (MPHB) - Advising MPHB, a Government of
Madhya Pradesh undertaking, for developing 32 acres in Bhopal for
redevelopment under the Re-densification Scheme of the Housing and
Environment Department. The project includes commercial complex/business
centre comprising of office space, commercial space, multiplex/entertainment
area, hotel and commensurate residential areas, with emphasis on providing
public facilities and overall commercial development of the area in partnership
with a suitably identified investor through bid-processing.

 Denel (Pty) Ltd. - A series of international commercial arbitrations relating to
cancellation of major defence procurement contracts awarded to South African
Comapny Denel. The Chairman of the arbitral tribunals is Lord Slynn of Hadley
and two former Chief Justices of India are co-arbitrators.
Punjab State Electricity Board - Acting as legal advisors to PSEB in two 2000 MW coal based thermal power plants in punjab in consortium with Power Finance
Corporation through Tariff Based Competitive Bidding.
The mandate includes advising the client on regulatory support in terms
of compliance with the Electricity Act 2003, Central/State Electricity Regulatory
Compliance; Drafting of documents like RFQ/RFP, Power Purchase Agreements,
Fuel Supply Agreements, Shareholders Agreement etc., due diligence
of bidders’ credientials and finally transferring the special purpose vehicle to
the selected developers.
