WolfBlock Intensifies Energy and Environmental Practice Efforts
WolfBlock, Philadelphia

Philadelphia -- February 6, 2008 -- WolfBlock is pleased to announce that it has contracted with Roy M. Palk, Esq. to assist the firm in expanding its practice in the areas of energy and environmental law and associated topics. Palk, retired president and chief executive officer of the East Kentucky Power Cooperative located in Winchester, KY, has 37 years of executive-level utility management experience in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity, including several national and international assignments.

Palk will assist WolfBlock both in servicing its existing clients and with new client development in the energy field. He is a national honor society graduate of Tennessee Technological University and the Nashville School of Law where he was elected president of the school’s Honor Council. He has spent his career in the energy field, including working within the TVA region and having served as the CEO for several electric cooperatives in the areas of generation, transmission and distribution. Palk has also served as the assistant general manager and corporate counsel to the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA) in Washington, DC. He also serves on the boards of several national and regional energy associations as well as serving on the boards of two colleges and universities.

“WolfBlock has presented me with exactly the opportunity I wanted, which is to use my management experience in a legal environment. I am very impressed with the firm’s entrepreneurial spirit. I want to contribute to the success of the firm’s clients and, in turn, to the firm’s success,” said Palk.

Palk maintains an office in Lafayette, TN. He and his wife Kathy reside in Lexington, KY. They have four children and eight grandchildren.
