Starkey Law Group Merges with ILN Member, Harrison Indianapolis

Harrison & Moberly, LLP and Starkey Law Group, PC announced jointly today that Starkey Law Group will be merged into Harrison & Moberly as of June 1, 2007.

 

Marti Starkey, who has been practicing law for more than 25 years, established Starkey Law Group, PC in 2000 as a firm concentrating in wills, trusts, estate planning and administration, wealth transfer and related complex litigation. Ms. Starkey is an Indiana representative to the National Conference of Commissioners on Uniform State Laws and has served as Chair of the Indiana delegation, as well as on NCCUSL’s drafting and review committees for the Uniform Trust Code, Uniform Health Care Decisions Act and the Uniform Power of Attorney Act. She is also a past Chair of the

Estate Planning and Administration Section of the Indianapolis Bar Association. In addition, Marti founded the Starkey Entrepreneurial Woman Award, given each year by Starkey Law Group, PC and Indianapolis Woman magazine to a deserving female entrepreneur who has exhibited courage and tenacity in starting and running a for-profit or not-for-profit business.

 

Joining Harrison & Moberly, LLP, along with Ms. Starkey are Lisa M. Adler, a 2004 cum laude graduate of Indiana University School of Law, where she served as Executive Editor of The Indiana Law Journal; and Sang June Ryu, a 2005 graduate of Case Western Reserve University School of Law. Ms. Adler is admitted to practice law in Florida and Illinois as well as Indiana, and Mr. Ryu is admitted in New York and Indiana. Anna Hahn, a paralegal, also will be coming to Harrison & Moberly with Starkey Law Group.

 

Harrison & Moberly, LLP, which recently moved its downtown office to Suite 700 in Market Tower, 10 West Market Street, is a comprehensive full service law firm founded in 1950. The firm also maintains an office at Meridian Mark One in Carmel, Indiana. With the Starkey Law Group merger, the firm will grow to 29 attorneys providing legal services to businesses and individuals throughout Indiana, as well as nationally and internationally. Harrison & Moberly is the exclusive Indiana member of the International Lawyers Network. Ms. Starkey, Ms. Adler and Mr. Ryu will join James J. McGrath, Mark W. Pfeiffer, and Michael J. Rusnak in the firm’s Estate Planning, Wealth Transfer and Tax Group, which also includes James D. Harrison, Of Counsel, a founder of Harrison & Moberly who has practiced law since 1937.
