Grunte & Cers
With effect from May 2005, two of the leading and most experienced Latvian law firms - Loze & Partners and Grunte & Cers, will merge forming the largest law firm in Latvia, Loze, Grunt & Cers.
As a result of this merger, Loze, Grunte & Cers will be the largest law firm in Latvia, employing 45 employees all in all, including 28 lawyers, associate lawyers legal and tax advisers and support personnel of 17.
After merging of two professional teams of lawyers, higher level of specialisation and individual solution to each problem will be offered to clients, ensuring the optimum speed of service. The combined capacity of the law firm will allow implementation of large-scale international projects as well.
This is a unique event in the Latvian legal community, when two independent law firms, each having its stable place in the market and being internationally recognised, are merging. The aim of the merger is to improve efficiency and quality of legal services, and this will be ensured by combining of resources of both firms, mutual exchange of experience and ability to offer an unprecedentedly wide range of services. Having merged, Loze, Grunte & Cers become one of the leading legal service providers in the Baltic States.
Loze & Partners is a team of experienced lawyers with more than 10 years of expertise in complicated commercial transactions, such us structuring of groups of companies, mergers and acquisitions, intellectual property, competition, securities, banking and other matters. Latest major transactions performed by Loze & Partners include representation of SIA Neste Latvia in settlement of a dispute with the Riga Free Port and research of illegal trade in logging, which was commissioned by World Wide Fund.
