Tia and Ellie (formerly Tiara and Layla)
This is a story about a couple who loved their first IG, Tony,  so much, he was the center of attention.  Sadly, that little fellow's heart was so large, that it finally gave out.  The couple grieved, but found enough love left for 2 little orphans.  So they traveled to the great state of Texas to adopt their new loves.

One was already a matronly queen bee, and the other, a sweet little pied puppy.   It took a little adjustment for queen bee Tia, because the puppy was so excited all the time, and she also had to get used to NOT being in a home with 24 other IGs, who fought for food and lived in a not-so-clean
environment.

But slowly she learned to trust her new humans, and now gets so excited when they come home that she sings and wags her tail and tiptoe dances all over the place.  At night, she gets to snuggle under the covers and gives her daddy one last kiss before she settles down for the night.

The puppy, Ellie, has never known anything but love, and loves everyone.  Her favorite pastime is playing fetch with a tiny, Ellie-sized tennis ball, or anything else that she can get her humans to throw (or kick, if mommy is trying to cook dinner!!).  She is quite athletic, and walks on her hind legs whenever she wants to get a better look at stuff out of her reach.  When she runs out of steam, her favorite place is on a soft lap, under a warm cover.

This is a story with a very happy ending.  Just one of the many happy endings that have been possible because of the incredible people who give so much of themselves at IGCA rescue and IG-Rescue Texas.  We cant imagine ever living without our special little creatures.

Thanks so much,
