I’m Bella Luna, and I’m a b-e-a-utiful, 2-yr old, fawn and white, average sized, precocious princess! Of course, since you’re meeting me here, you must know that I am looking for my forever home!
You know, at 2 years old, I’m really just a kid still, but somehow I’ve already managed to go through 2 homes (not including my foster family or my birth home). It’s not that there is really anything wrong with my first homes and my foster family keeps reiterating that there is also nothing wrong with ME (a couple homes in a couple years kind of shakes your self confidence), but you know it just wasn’t meant to be. You can understand though that I really would like my next home to truly be my forever home.

As you can see from my picture I am still young at two, and quite pretty. I have great references as my foster family has nothing but good things to say about me.
I have been spayed (am HW neg) and have an excellent bill of health. I am friendly, but am not sure of human pups(under 6), but I get along fine with the older ones. I enjoy walks and like my sister dogs just fine. I ignore the cats, but not their food! So, if you're looking for a loyal friend who happens to be a wee bit shy of thunder I am the one for you!

 Lucie is a sweet and beautiful redhead! This 18-month-old girl loves to cuddle up under a blanket next to her humans. Walks are NOT her favorite thing, but in her former life she was trained in agility and did very well. For the most part, Lucie is a homebody. She does like to play an occasional game of fetch with a mini tennis ball.
Lucie has a grade 1 luxated patella, but it rarely bothers her and does not cause her any pain. At this point there is nothing that needs to be done. Her new owners will just need to keep an eye on it and have it monitored by a vet with regular “well doggy” check ups.

 Zarina is a lovely four-year-old red pied girl who used to work as a full-time baby maker and has spent most of her life in a cage with very little human contact. She is curious about people but still timid around them. If you are sitting down, she will come and lick your fingers and wag her tail. She does great with other dogs and likes to run around the backyard. She feels most secure when she is in her crate. Currently, she is doing well with housetraining, as long as she is kept on a regular schedule. She is not leash-trained.

 Got a lap? I could be your best cuddle-buddy. My name is Jelly; I’m a serene 7-year-old fawn with a heart full of goodness. I’m so happy to have been spayed, veterinarian checked, vaccinated, and to be ready for my new home. Since I’m quite social, I would be pleased to share it with other dogs and people. My crate is ok if there isn’t a lap available. As much as I love my food, I haven’t let myself go. Look how fit I am! I have vowed to continue with good food choices and portion control. How big is a portion, anyway? As for important business, I choose to do it outside, but watch out, fences mean nothing to me. I may be little, but I'm mighty. To compensate for that naughtiness, I have these adorable floppy ears. Should we have a lap test?

 Hi there! My name is Lola! My foster mommy and daddy picked me up from Town Lake Animal Shelter in Austin a couple of months ago. I think my regular mommy couldn't afford me anymore, so she dropped me off and said I was a stray. I was really sleepy when they first picked me up, because the Shelter was really stressful. I fell asleep in my new foster mommy's arms as soon as we got in the car.

 Malibu is a 2-yr-old, wild Irish seal female. She came into IGCA Rescue with many others from a puppy mill while she was still caring for her last litter of puppies. Malibu was a great Mom and she will never be forced to breed again!
Malibu was clearly a weaker member of her previous pack. “Mallie”, as she is known to her foster family, is learning to interact with the humans and now even comes up to her foster parents for attention. She is a little snuggler once she learns to trust you. At around 10.5 pounds, she is the perfect cuddling size! Her son Kennedy and foster brother Phoenix are bound and determined to get her to play and her foster whippet sisters help her feel secure. She goes for walks with the pack and is learning that sounds don't hurt and you can just keep walking!

 Cats must perish! Fair warning. My name is Carmen, and I am a sight hound to the core of my being. My life purpose is to terrorize cats, all of them, everywhere! I can hide in the dark and sneak up on them thanks to my beautiful black coat.
This is not to suggest that I am unidimensional. Indeed, I love to wrangle with other big Iggies like me. You see, I’m not a delicate flower. I’d be keen on having a regular wrestling partner my own size. If they like hunting cats too, yippee! It’s possible that I may want to be the dominant dog, but I’m not going to knock over the furniture or anything.

 Anna is a 6-yr-old female who has been a full-time working girl for a backyard breeder. IGCA Rescue was able to convince the breeder that we would be able to find excellent homes for her dogs so she released them all to us.
Anna is timid and fearful at first in her new life as a pet. With time and patience she will overcome her fears. She already craves attention, but gets nervous when she gets it. She is a gentle dog, and is not a pack leader. She gets along well with other dogs, though she doesn't play with them yet. She is not used to a leash, but her foster parents have started leash training (we'll keep you posted). She needs a home with a back yard and another Iggy, or two to show her the ropes. She is a great little dog that, with time and a gentle hand will blossom into the Iggy Princess she was meant to be.
