June events
This month sees a number of great events coming to the IFSC area.

The first ever Docklands Maritime Festival will be held over the June bank holiday weekend. The festival will include a programme of events to entertain all ages. The famous 1790 replica tall ship, the Grand Turk, star of The Hornblower series, will be at North Wall Quay. The Grand Turk, Asgard II, the Jeanie Johnston, as well as the Kathleen & May and the Lord Rank will all be open to the public for tours throughout the weekend.

Events on the quayside will include the People's Art Exhibition with over 15 artists displaying their work, live music each day, face painting and roving characters from the sea. On Sunday and Monday, there'll also be a quayside market featuring a range of food, arts and crafts stall.

If you're feeling energetic on the 12th, why not take part in the 1,500 meter Docklands Liffey Swim? The men's race starts and 19.00 and the women's event begins at 19.45.

The Russian tall ship, Mir, will be in Dublin on Bloomsday. The ship will be open to the public and there will be an opportunity to stay on board and sail to Liverpool.

The Docklands Liffey Challenge is a one-day yacht racing event, which takes place on Sunday June 20th, between 12.00 and 15.00. The race will feature the Cork 1720s high performance racing yacht.
