Primary Immune Tribune
March 2014
April is National Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Month, World PI Week is April 22-29

April is National Primary Immunodeficiency Awareness Month! So this April, join with the IDF, in partnership with World PI Week, celebrated April 22 to 29, to promote awareness of primary immunodeficiency diseases (PI) in your community.

If you live with a primary immunodeficiency disease, or have a significant relationship with someone who is affected, you know how important it is to raise awareness and understanding about these diseases. Awareness Month is a perfect opportunity to educate and inform people about primary immunodeficiency diseases and hopefully this knowledge will lead to early diagnosis and appropriate treatment.

IDF has put together a lot of helpful information to help you increase awareness.

IDF Celebrates National Volunteer Week
April 6-12

In honor of National Volunteer Week, April 6-12, 2014, IDF recognizes our dedicated volunteers! IDF has a nationwide network of volunteers committed to increasing awareness of primary immunodeficiencies (PI) in their local communities. Many serve as peer support volunteers to offer encouragement and understanding to others as they live with a PI. Others provide information on local resources, host educational meetings, advocate for public policy, and often organize fundraising events throughout the country. Thank you to each and every volunteer for sharing your time and talent. You are absolutely vital to the work of IDF!
