Medicare IVIG Demonstration Project is Open for Enrollment
Enrollment Period Ends 9/12

IDF is pleased to announce that enrollment for the Medicare IVIG Demonstration Project has begun! Patients who are covered under Medicare Fee-For-Service (traditional Medicare) and enrolled in Part B, have a diagnosis of primary immunodeficiency (PI), and are not currently covered under a home health episode of care, are eligible for enrollment.

This three-year demonstration project will study the impact of paying for IVIG home infusions, which were not previously covered for Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare IVIG Demonstration Project will provide reimbursement for all home infusion costs, thus paving the way for a permanent fix to this issue.

The enrollment period will end on September 12, 2014, so patients should act quickly to sign up. If approved, a beneficiary receiving an IVIG home infusion after October 1, 2014 will be covered.
