Cebic Technologies Inc. Earns Top Computer Security Certification

DENVER – Johan Hybinette, owner of the Denver-based computer security firm, Cebic Technologies Inc., has earned CISSP (Certified Information System Security Professional) certification after successfully passing a rigorous exam in Denver two weeks ago.

Administered by the information security non-profit organization (ISC)2 , CISSP is an internationally accredited certification that attests the holder has detailed knowledge of all aspects of cyber security.

The holder must have extensive knowledge in 10 areas, including access control systems and methodology, application and systems development security, business continuity and disaster recovery planning, cryptography, law, investigations and ethics, operations security, physical security, security architecture and telecommunications and network security.

“CISSP is the first certification in a series that our engineers will complete in order to gain the appropriate credentials to perform all aspects of security audits and implementing secure cyber networks,” said Johan Hybinette. “In the near future, Cebic will become certified as CISA (Certified Information Systems Auditor) and CISM (Certified Information Security Manager), which will allow us to provide all facets of technology security”

To receive CISSP certification, one must pass the test administered by the (ISC)2, have a four year college degree and a minimum of four years work experience in one or more of the CBK domains. CISSP certification is based on a broad range of knowledge, making it an appropriate certification for security managers.

(ISC)2 is a global, not-for-profit organization dedicated to maintaining a common body of knowledge for information security [IS], certifying industry professionals and practitioners in an international IS standard, administering training and certification examinations and ensuring credentials are maintained, primarily through continuing education.
