Hybinette’s server modules will be upgraded to include the newest Intel processors, maintaining our standard of providing the finest in cutting-edge supercomputer technology.

The Granite Quad Xeon module will feature dual or quad 1.6 GHz processors, 2 or more GB of RAM and dual 18 GB mirrored and hot-swappable system drives. The Granite Dual Xeon module will be available with either dual 1.8 GHz or 2.4 GHz processors, 1 or more GB of RAM and dual 18 GB mirrored and hot-swappable system drives. The Feldspar and Flint will also be outfitted with the latest Intel processors.

The Intel Xeon processor MP features Hyper-Threading technology, Integrated Three-Level cache architecture and Intel® NetBurst™ microarchitecture to provide versatility, performance, value and dependability for today’s server platforms. The front-side bus speed is 400 MHz, taking advantage of fast DDR memory. Available in speeds up to 1.6 GHz with either 512K or 1MB Cache, this CPU is optimized for quad or higher processor systems.

The Granite server is ideal for mission critical applications, large databases, e-business, Internet, on line transaction processing, clustering and thin client server applications.
The Granite’s motherboard handles up to four Intel® Xeon™ processors at up to 1.6 GHz, with a dual channel on-board Adaptec U-320 SCSI controller and basic RAID 5 controller option for the system and up to three other drives. The motherboard can handle up to 32GB of DDR memory. There are six PCI-100 expansion slots for Gigabit Ethernet, fibre channel cards and other expansions.
