Hybinette Releases SAN-Compatible Dimension RAID

DENVER – Hybinette recently announced the release of its newest product, the Dimension RAID. The SAN-compatible Dimension is available in two product designs – the Dimension-R (rackmount) and the Dimension-T (tower).

The hot-swappable Dimension houses from 480 GB to 1.3 Terabytes of storage per unit and supports a large variety of platforms, including Macintosh, Scitex, Windows, Linux, AIX, Solaris and more. Both Dimension designs include both SCSI-IDE and Fibre-IDE and are powered with an independent RAID controller and a PowerPC RISC processor. Multiple units can be easily combined to provide storage for multi-Terabyte systems.

The system offers RAID levels 0, 1, 3 and 5 and provides for high data availability and protection through the following capabilities: automatic drive failure detection, automatic failed drive rebuilding, hot spare and background rebuild, disk hot swap and online background rebuilding.

“The Dimension RAID is the ideal entry-level solution for OSX users,” said Hybinette President Johan Hybinette. “These users require the performance of a quality RAID storage system at an affordable price.”
