Made In Georgia
You don’t have to go far to get great stuff.

Georgia is known for its rich culture, heritage and Southern hospitality. Now, it’s time for you to experience some of what is produced locally. You’ll be surprised at what you’ll discover in your own backyard.

The buzz on the street is that Savannah Bee Company is the must-go place for honey. The company produces award-winning artisan honey that comes in unique packaging including the signature 20-ounce flute or the hexagonal jars. Honey that Savannah Bee sells includes Tupelo (the Queen of all honey), Organic Acacia, Sourwood and Orange Blossom. They also sell raw honeycomb that’s perfect to pair with wine and cheese or even with a hot biscuit fresh from the oven. In addition to edible treats, you can also pick up products from the body care line including soap, hand cream, lotions and lip balms. Savannah Bee Company products are found in many stores throughout the state. For more information, visit www.savannahbee.com.

For all your shopping needs and a blast from the past, head to the Nora Mill Granary Grist Mill & Country Store. Established in 1876, Nora Mill stone grinds and produces a variety of corn- and wheat-based products including corn meal, grits, flour, biscuits, bread mixes and pancake and waffle mixes. Nora Mill favorites include the three-grain pancake, waffle & muffin mix, sweet potato pancake and muffin mix and gravy mix. In addition to stone-ground products, you’ll also find jams, jellies, preserves, cookbooks, old-fashioned candy and pantry items. The Nora Mill Granary Grist Mill & Country Store is located in Helen. You can visit the store to shop and see the grinding process or order online. For more information, visit www.noramill.com.

These are southern specialties done right. Savannah’s Candy Kitchen cooks up the best of everything that’s sweet using recipes from Stan “The Candy Man” Strickland’s family. Savannah’s pecan pie – a Georgia staple – is amazing, and the red velvet cake is perfect for any southern family reunion. What makes their pies so delicious is the fact that the pans are coated in sugar to give the batter an authentic homemade taste. Keeping with the pecan theme, you’ll also find gourmet nut treats including the best-selling Glazed Pecans. Savannah’s Candy Kitchen has locations in Savannah, Charleston and City Market, and its goods are available to order online. For more information, visit www.savannahcandy.com.

Want a little varietal in your life? Georgia is home to a number of wineries and vineyards that produce amazing wines from locally grown grapes. Thanks to its climate, Georgia is an ideal place for vineyards. You can visit many of the wineries yourself or pick up a bottle at wine sellers throughout the state. For more information including a complete list of wineries, visit www.georgiawine.com.

Why go anywhere else when everything you need is in your backyard?
