Ft. Lauderdale Agent Conference
A good time was had by all during our October 12-14, 2002 Agent Conference in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The Doubletree Oceanfront hotel, situated right across from the beautiful Ft. Lauderdale beaches was our base. The first night we enjoyed a cocktail reception on the lanai near the hotel pool bar.

On Sunday, Janice Sinardi, DSM for Princess Cruises gave us a "grand" tour of the spectacular Grand Princess. Our gracious host showed us a variety of stateroom categories and all of the public areads of the ship. Then it was time for a delicious lunch in one of the ships' intimate dining rooms. Jan finished off our day with an informative Princess Cruises product presentation. If that wasn't enough for one day, we then took an evening dinner cruise on the "world famous" Jungle Queen! The three hour tour showed us impressive Ft. Lauderdale mansions along the waterways, plus we enjoyed entertainment and an all-you-can-eat barbeque dinner of ribs, chicken and shrimp.

On Monday, our bus whisked us off bright and early to the Marriott Marina hotel for a breakfast presentation by the FLL Visitors bureau, the Port Everglades Cruise Port, the Ft. Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport Authority and Spirit Airlines. All agents attending the conference are elgigible to win two FREE tickets on Spirit Airlines. Watch for the announcement of our winner within the next few months! We then proceeded to the cruise port for a ship tour/inspections of the Millenium, one of Celebrity's newer ships in their five-star fleet. An exquisite luncheon was served in "white-glove" style by an attentive wait staff and everyone agreed it was an outstanding experience! Our last stop was to see Royal Caribbean's Monarch of the Seas for a quick tour of this popular ship which sails 4 and 5 days western caribbean cruises year-round from Ft. Lauderdale.

If you missed this Agent Conference, look for announcements on our website or e-mail blasts for future conferences. We are planning an NCL weekend in February in Miami plus we are considering conferences to be held in New Orleans, Tampa and Orlando during 2003. More to come!
