Airlines Impose Paper Ticket Fee
American and Continental Airlines recently announced that they would charge a $20 service fee for issuance of paper tickets on itineraries that allow electronic ticketing. Due to this recent announcement, and the expectation that other airlines will follow, Prestige Travel has instituted a $20 airline service fee for paper tickets issued on all airlines except Southwest, Airtran and Spirit Air. This fee will be imposed when an electronic ticket could have been issued and the client requests a paper ticket.

For those of you subscribing to the Web Reservations systems, this fee is not automatically added in to the total ticket price and, if the above circumstance applies, must be added to the quote you give your clients.
