MLT extended its 20% commission rate for Web bookings through the end of January. Previously the rate for Web bookings had been scheduled to drop after Dec. 31 to 6% to 8%, depending on the product. When the sale rate was announced in mid-October, MLT designed the 20% commission rate to be temporary. But the first week with the new rate, sales jumped 40% from the previous week, prompting the company to reconsider.
