England Museums Waive Fees
http://www.visitbritain.com
Thanks to a new budget passed by the British Parliament, major museums across England have joined Welsh and Scottish counterparts in dropping entrance fees.
National institutions such as London's Natural History Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum and the Science Museum now can be visited free of charge; stops all three once could cost visitors a total of $30, estimated the BTA.
Tax-exempt, British museums traditionally have relied on the value-added tax visitors pay on entrance tickets as extra income.
