Princess Brings Cruising Home For 2002-03 Season
A Guide To The Line's New U.S.-Based Redeployment Schedule

Oct 29, 2001--SANTA CLARITA, CA --INTERNET WIRE

As part of Princess' commitment to offering greater opportunities for U.S.-based cruise vacations, the company has recently added 66 new voyages to Mexico, Hawaii, Alaska, Canada/New England and the Panama Canal.

"Vacationers have become increasingly interested in finding unique travel experiences closer to home," said Dean Brown, Princess' executive vice president of customer service and sales. "We have answered this call by adding numerous opportunities for passengers to enjoy the excitement of a cruise and the convenience of round-trip departures from North American ports."

Following is a summary of the line's new cruise schedules.

Mexican Riviera:

Princess has expanded its Mexican Riviera departures with new seven-day and 10-day sailings round-trip from Los Angeles. The seven-day voyages take in the warmth and excitement of Mexico's favorite ports, including Puerto Vallarta, Mazatlan and Cabo San Lucas, while the 10-day journeys also include Acapulco and Zihuatanejo/Ixtapa.

Sea Princess adds seven-day cruises from December 29, 2001 through March 2, 2002 and switches to the 10-day itinerary from March 9 through April 28, 2002.

In the fall, Sun Princess takes over the 10-day sailings, departing from September 27, 2002 through January 15, 2003, and again from March 26 through April 25, 2003.

Both ships will be joining the line's new Star Princess, the largest and most amenity-filled vessel ever to sail on the West Coast, when she debuts with her seven-day itinerary on March 16, 2002.

Hawaii: Princess puts the islands within easy reach, offering two 15-day round-trip voyages from Los Angeles to Hawaii on January 25 and March 11, 2003. The ship's fun-filled Hawaiian itinerary features visits to all of this tropical destination's major islands, including Hilo, Lahaina, Honolulu, Nawiliwili and Kona, as well as Ensenada in Mexico.

Alaska: has added a sixth ship to its Alaska schedule for 2002 with a series of 10-day round-trip voyages from San Francisco aboard Regal Princess. The 11 new voyages begin May 29 and sail through September 6, 2002. The itinerary takes passengers through the beautiful Golden Gate and heads north for calls at Juneau, Skagway (or Sitka), followed by a visit to the glaciers of Tracy Arm, and stops at Ketchikan and Victoria, British Columbia.

Canada/New England:

One of Princess passengers' favorite ships, Royal Princess offers four special Eastern Seaboard voyages in fall 2002. Three voyages on a 10-day itinerary between New York and Montreal set sail on September 17, September 27 and October 7, featuring visits to Newport, Boston, Bar Harbor, St. John, Halifax, the Saguenay River, and Quebec City. On October 17 the ship departs on a 14-day Canada/Colonial America voyage between Montreal and Ft. Lauderdale, with stops in Quebec, Halifax, Bar Harbor, Boston, Newport (Rhode Island), New York, Newport News (Virginia), Baltimore and Charleston. The ship begins these itineraries following a 14-day Southampton to New York trans-Atlantic crossing on September 3. Panama Canal:

Royal Princess returns to the Panama Canal in 2002, offering 10 departures on a 10-night itinerary round-trip from Ft. Lauderdale between February 11 and May 12. This scenic cruise calls at Cartagena, Limon (Costa Rica), Grand Cayman and Cozumel, while offering a bird's-eye view of the transit through the Panama Canal's Gatun Locks.

Following her final spring Panama Canal cruise, Royal Princess will travel to her summer Europe home with an eight-day trans-Atlantic sailing from Ft. Lauderdale to Southampton on May 22, 2002.

In fall 2002, Royal Princess sails on four 14-day Panama Canal voyages between Ft. Lauderdale and Los Angeles. Scheduled for October 31, November 14, November 28, and December 12, these voyages offer visits to Aruba, Cartagena, Puntarenas (Costa Rica), Acapulco and Cabo San Lucas.

Sun Princess also adds two 15-day Panama Canal voyages between Los Angeles and Fort Lauderdale on February 9 and February 24, 2003. Passengers will enjoy stops at Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco, Puntarenas (Costa Rica), Cartagena, Aruba and Ocho Rios, as well as the spectacular passage through the canal.
