Hotel Commission Policies

We would like to take this opportunity to clarify hotel commission policies. Most hotel companies pay commissions on a quarterly basis, so normally you will not receive your share of commission within a month or two months after the travel dates. However, if, after sixty days for domestic hotels and ninety days for international hotels, you still have not received commmission, you can begin the process of tracking your commissions.

Essential to this process is to properly fill out your original worksheet. Did you include the full address of the hotel an the phone number you used when making the reservation? If possible, include an email address, especially when making an international reservation. Ask the reservationist for it at the time you are booking. Note the name of the reservationist. And don't forget the booking or confirmation number.

To research, call the property where you made the reservation. Explain you are with Prestige Travel and are trying to locate an unpaid commission. If they say it has been paid, ask for the check number and the dates the check was issued and sent. Then fill out a Research Request form, include this information and we'll track down the problem at our end.

Special Note #1: Send in your worksheets at the time you make a reservation. If you need to cancel or revise it, send a revised worksheet. Do not wait to send in your worksheets. Keep copies for your files.

Special Note #2: Do not send worksheets for hotels booked at travel agent rates.
