Holland America Sets Group Rates

Holland America Line has launched a Seven Continents booking promotion targeting the premium line's longer 2002 cruise itineraries, which provide greater commission opportunties for travel agents. Groups registered by August 31, 2001, on select 2002 itineraries will receive from 46 to 60 percent off the cruise fares - an increased discount of 10 to 23 percent from standard group policies.

Also, for each group and individual booking received by the same deadline, the travel agent will be entered into a drawing for one of seven free cruises.

The special group rates apply to more than 50 cruise dates on various itineraries. These include South America featuring Antarctica, Hawaii, Mexico, Panama Canal, and the Caribbean.

Travel agents that make group or individual bookings by the deadline of August 31 will be entered into a drawing for one of seven free cruises. Plus, all group passengers deposited in outside cabins by October 30, 2001, will receive a bonus two category upgrade, excluding all Verandah and Suite categories.

To help with promoting the group, travel agents also enjoy tour conductor policies of 1 complimentary berth per 15 passengers booked, direct mail postcards, and marketing assistance from Holland America's sales force.

Among the featured destinations travel agents should note that Holland America's South America cruises have sold out early the past two seasons. (Source: Holland America Line-Westours Inc.)
