Don't Worry, Travel Happy
Finding good restaurants, accommodations, and activities on vacation is a snap at an all-inclusive resort.

Sun, sand, and the "aahhh" of just relaxing all day – it's no wonder vacations are so perfect for recharging and rejuvenating. And that sense of calm can start even at the trip planning stage, thanks to all-inclusive resorts that take care of all the details for you. Here are some advantages and misconceptions about these types of trips:

Myth: Dining is one-size-fits-all
Think that a tropical resort is an endless buffet of seafood and pineapple? Although that might be delicious, 7 days of the same food would get tiresome. Fortunately, there's no need to fret; resorts have stunning diversity in their food options. For example, there are nearly a dozen restaurants at every Sandals, with dining choices that range from candlelit dinner for two (hello, second honeymoon) to casual eateries with larger tables that accommodate all the new friends you'll make during days of golf and scuba diving.

Fact: You'll have to pack more clothes
Want to really get in the swing of the resorts? Then get ready for a grand entertainment adventure, because many of the all-inclusive spots have theme nights like "Pirates Night," or "Casino Night." Check ahead of time to see what kind of entertainment and parties they have lined up, so you can throw your best pirate outfit, James Bond tux, or karaoke ensemble into your luggage. You may want to pack a few extra swimsuits, too, since many resorts feature a range of water activities, from sailing to snorkeling.

Myth: You only get to see the inside of the resort
Just because the resort is all-inclusive doesn't mean that you have to stay on the resort grounds at all times. At many vacation destinations, concierges can help arrange local tours that can show you the best of a country and its culture. You can hike up mountain ranges, take a Jeep tour through Jamaica, go horseback riding on the beach, and even ride through a riverbed on an ATV.  Best of all, the daytrips are usually very affordably priced, so they won't sink your vacation budget. And, since there are no hidden charges at the resorts, you can splurge on more than one daytrip without being surprised by a bill later.

Fact: No tipping necessary
All-inclusive is true to its name. So, when you wander down to the beach for a bit of relaxation, just bring a towel, not your wallet, if you want to have lunch or a cocktail while gazing at the ocean. Although it might seem like a minor advantage, "gratuities included" is actually a nice source of relief for many travelers because they don't have to read up on the customs of a particular country, or wonder if they're tipping correctly.

For a large array of vacation spot options and worry-free planning, consider an all-inclusive jaunt. Well-established resorts like Sandals are popular for a reason, and many guests choose to go back year after year to experience the same high level of service, without having all the hassle of trip planning.
