Hepatitis B Bill Re-Introduced in 2007
Representatives Mike Honda (D-CA) and Charlie Dent (R-PA) re-introduced the National Hepatitis B ActH.R. 3944, a bi-partisan bill for the development of a national plan for the prevention, control and medical management of Hepatitis B. The bill would help fund immunization, education of high risk populations, and increased research funding for research to improve treatment and determine best practices for screening and prevention methods. The bill is also co-sponsored by Edolphus Towns (D-NY), Adam Schiff (D-CA), Michael McNulty (D-NY), and Jim Gerlach (R-PA).
