How to Celebrate Galentine’s Day
Spend a night out with your friends this February

Valentine’s Day brings with it a lot of pressure to find a date, but there are other relationships to recognize as well. Instead of searching high and low for the perfect date, consider celebrating Galentine’s Day instead. Galentine’s Day is dedicated to celebrating friendships by spending time with your girl friends. If you’re planning on participating in Galentine’s Day this year, here are a few ways to celebrate.

Go dancing

Take advantage of Galentine’s Day by dressing up and taking on the town. Throw on your favorite outfit and a killer pair of shoes, find somewhere with some great music and dance the night away with your best friends. You’ll be able to listen to the music, meet new people and maybe even explore a new town.

Movie night

If you want to be more low key and skip the fancy clothes, try inviting your girlfriends over for a casual movie night. Throw on your favorite pajamas and ask everyone to bring their favorite food and movies. You can enjoy each other’s company and those romantic comedies while snacking on popcorn and miscellaneous junk food.

Spa day

This Galentine’s Day, treat yourself and your gal pals to a fun spa day. Assign each person something to bring: face masks, snacks, nail polish, makeup or whatever else you might need. You can give each other makeovers, try new face masks and spend the evening relaxing with your best friends.

Wine tasting

If you’d like to go out for Galentine’s Day, gather a group of your girl friends and make your way to a winery. The scenery is always beautiful and wine tastings are fun ways to bond with your friends. You can participate in a wine tasting to find your favorite selection, then take home a bottle to enjoy for the evening.

Game night

If you and your friends are into board and card games, what better way to celebrate Galentine’s Day than having a game night? Each of your friends can bring their favorite game and you can flip a coin to decide which one to play first.

Traditionally, for Valentine’s Day, many couples go out to a fancy dinner. Instead, for Galentine’s Day, invite all of your friends over for a potluck. Each person can bring their favorite dish or dessert; plus, this takes a bit of the work off your shoulders if everyone pitches in.

While romantic relationships are often put on a pedestal around Valentine’s Day, friendships are more valuable than anything you can put a price tag on. Take advantage of the opportunity to spend time with your best friends by celebrating Galentine’s Day with some of these fun activities.
