The Battle of San Jacinto 2011
Personal call to Houston pastors*
by Dave Welch

Where will history show you were in the most important showdown fought in this city in our lifetime?

It is well known that the defeat of General Santa Anna by General Sam Houston and his men on April 21, 1836 at San Jacinto led to the independence of Texas, and ultimately our statehood.  What is not known is what would have happened if Houston and his men had either not fought or had not won. Fortunately, we only have to speculate.

Their courage altered the course of history and impacted the future of the state and nation forever.

The national enemies of traditional marriage and family have targeted our city for takeover and have established a beachhead for the Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgendered, etc. agenda.  We have an opportunity NOW to turn the tide nationally by retaking that ground for the sake of our faith, our families and for religious freedom.

As did theirs, the Battle of San Jacinto 2011 – for the soul of Houston - will determine a course for this city, state and the nation that will reverberate for generations.  Will courageous pastors and men rise up and have our “San Jacinto moment” to stand and defeat forces that are attacking everything good, decent and godly in the third largest city in America?

The current Mayor of the City of Houston....

Life Institute study exposes more false reports by PP

Dear Pro-Life Friends:

The media continues to sugarcoat Planned Parenthood’s almost-singular focus on abortion. On the media’s watch, the nation’s largest chain of abortion facilities continues to operate with our tax dollars while killing millions of innocent unborn babies. But thanks in part to the Internet; the faithful work of pro-lifers continues to expose the truth behind the deception.

My pro-life friends at Live Action recently dismantled Planned Parenthood’s favorite talking point—that abortion accounts for only 3% of their services. The abortion industry giant could slyly arrive at this fuzzy math simply by stating that they hand out 97 condoms for every 3 abortions performed.

But their pro-abortion spin doesn’t work in business terms when crunching the numbers.

According to their own figures, in 2009 alone....
