Reminder: Stand for Freedom rally at Houston National Cemetery tomorrow!
10 am - join area pastors, veterans, Congressmen Pete Olson, Ted Poe, and others!

Houston Area Pastors and Patriots:

Please join Pastor Steve Riggle, Pastor Willie Davis, Rev. Doug Stringer, Pastor James Clark and other area pastors as well as Congressmen Pete Olson and Ted Poe, State Rep. Debbie Riddle and honored veterans to stand for FREEDOM on INDEPENDENCE DAY!

WHAT:       Stand for Freedom Rally

WHERE:     Houston National Cemetery

                   10410 Veterans Memorial Drive

(Park along Aldine Western Rd. and gather at cemetery entrance on T.C. Jester)

WHEN:       Monday, July 4

                   10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m.

Here is what Houston National Cemetery Director Arleen Ocasio is alleged to have done since taking over last year:

1) Director Ocasio and other Cemetery Officials instructed Veterans of Foreign Wars District 4 to remove prayers from its burial rituals and to no longer utter remarks when handling the discharged shell cases from the rifle salute to the family of deceased veterans.

2) Cemetery Officials instructed American Legion Post 586 to remove prayers from its burial rituals.

3) Director Ocasio told the National Memorial Ladies that it could no longer include “God Bless” in its condolence cards or speak a religious message to veterans’ families.

4) Director Ocascio shut down the Cemetery chapel; it is now a “meeting facility.”

What better way to celebrate the 235th anniversary of our Independence than take the time to stand against religious bigotry by government officials and for First Amendment freedoms at the National Cemetery on the 4th of July!  Read the storys below if you have not yet heard, and make plans to join us for a one-hour, spontaneous rally on Monday!
