Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ:
I'd like to ask you to do something to help a Texas Christian school that is in a contest and it appears to be shaping up to be a real David v. Goliath Christian story.
The contest is by Kohl’s and will reward 20 checks of $500,000 each to the top 20 schools in the country purely on Facebook votes. Unbelievably, little Lucas Christian Academy is currently # 11 in the country. It is the only Texas school in the running, and it has a real chance of winning. Anyone with a Facebook account can vote for them 5 times, and this little school needs help. The contest is a 2 month long contest and is now in the last 4 days.
It seems that all believers would want to know and support this little Christian School (the school that thought it could!) and make sure the $500,000 would go to Christian education. Even the Governor of Texas posted a Facebook message yesterday urging all Texans to vote.
Here is some info on the basics of the opportunity:
Lucas Christian Academy is in a Kohl's contest at http://bit.ly/9NOtTR so it can be a top 20 school and be awarded 500,000.00! This is a great school. They found out 2 months ago that they needed $499,000 to be ABLE TO BREAK GROUND on their new land and finally have our own building. They believe God is really in this, which is why this little school is in the top 11 in the contest, defying all odds. They are small but have great kids. Each person can cast 5 votes -- It costs nothing, but this could make the difference on whether this money goes to Christian education or not. The question is whether other Christians and Texans will rally to help this school. Please vote 5 times and share the link above.
If you have a Facebook page, please take a few minutes to cast your vote at http://bit.ly/9NOtTR to stand with this courageous Christian school!
Sincerely, Kelly Shackelford, Liberty Legal Institute
P.S. A Texas FOX station just did a story on this and urged Texans to vote.
