Dear Friends and Supporters of HAPC/TXPC/USPC:

I am very thankful for your support of this organization and want to let you know that with that help and the Lord’s blessings we have continued to be at the forefront of the battle for the spiritual, cultural, moral and political condition of our communities, state and nation.

As I wrote last weekend in my regular column on WorldNetDaily.com, nothing can replace pulpits preaching the powerful principles of God’s word to every sphere of life, including our political duties.  The enemy knows that and has worked hard to silence many pastors, however we continue to find patriot pastors – but to achieve critical mass we must organize and execute the AMERICA Plan in EVERY one of our churches!

It has never been more important that our Bible-teaching churches get ALL our citizens fully informed and out to the polls than it will be for the November General Election.  We are working on that diligently and while I know you are pressed in many directions with your contributions, we need your help now to stay on course.

Please click here to donate online whatever the Lord directs you for either a one-time gift or set up a monthly giving schedule.  Every gift is appreciated and used to carry out this mission.

As always, our plate is fuller than is explainable or defensible in relation to small staff and limited resources, however I wanted to provide a brief update on recent activities.  Since April for HAPC, TXPC, and USPC, our activities have included participation in and supported:

  • Pastors’ Border School Institute in El Paso with briefings by county, state, federal law enforcement. (April 14, 15)
  • Hope for Life Conference Pastor’s Panel, Dallas (April 15)
  • Second Quarter Building Bridges Luncheon on April 29 featuring Dr. Robert Sloan of HBU
  • Provided critical informational and public support statewide for our conservative State Board of Education members as they fought to adopt responsible Social Studies curriculum standards that will have national impact. (Standards were adopted!)
  • Assisted with organizing National Day of Prayer events at Houston City Hall (with Gov. Rick Perry) and in The Woodlands (partnering with N. Houston/Montgomery Tea Party)
  • Prayer vigils at Planned Parenthood’s gala and abortion mega-center grand opening.
  • Hosted a key pastor luncheon with Gov. Perry follow the NDOP to discuss critical issues from disaster preparation and response, border security and immigration reform, marriage restoration initiatives and urban restoration initiatives.

    ·          Organized a briefing with State Rep. Debbie Riddle and a multi-ethnic core group of pastors regarding her immigration enforcement legislation.

    ·          San Antonio pastor summit helping support the development of a pastor council in that city parallel with a Pastor’s Congress for Life.

    ·          Organized a summit of lead Houston pastors to draft a Pastors’ Declaration on Border Security and Immigration Reform.  (Final draft in approval stage, will be launched and posted after receiving the signatures from key pastors)

    ·          Proposed and supported inclusion of a Marriage Restoration Resolution in the platform at the Texas Republican State Convention. (adopted on June 11)

    ·          Participated in a pastor strategy session hosted by Pastor Robert Jefferson of Houston Ministers Against Crime regarding a proposal to create a Public Defender office in Harris County for indigent criminal defense.

    ·          Northeast Houston Area Pastor Council (NEHAPC) pastor summit featuring Mike McManus of Marriage Savers.

    ·          Beaumont Area Pastor Council (BAPC) monthly luncheons featuring local leaders, community issues and pastor enlistment activities.

    ·          Sacramento Area Council of Pastors (SACP) conducting second formational Executive Committee session and goal setting

    ·          Formalizing the El Paso Pastor Council (EPPC) Worldview Conference there this Fall.

    ·          Enlisted Salt & Light/Citizenship Ministry leaders for our largest churches

These are just the “above the radar” events and activities that don’t even touch on the administrative support and myriad other things to support the implementation of the mission.  We are also working on offensive strategies regarding the Planned Parenthood mega-abortion center, Mayor Annise Parker’s radical sexual diversity agenda, etc.

On an administrative note, we do all this with a two person staff and have a very "lean and mean" operation.  We put the resources into people and projects!

Again, if the Lord leads you and after you have given the tithe to your church, please consider a special gift at this time.  You can also mail a contribution to:

    Houston Area Pastor Council

    P.O. Box 692207

    Houston, TX  77269

Thank you again and please also pray for our pastors who are standing that the Lord will protect and prosper their families and ministries.

Blessings in Christ,

Dave Welch, Executive Director
