Congress Passes Its Budget Blueprint for FY2010

The House and Senate adopted the $3.56 trillion FY2010 budget resolution on Wednesday, only two weeks past the deadline set forth in the 1994 budget act. This is no small accomplishment, given the array of issues Congress has had to deal with related to the economic crisis, as well as the fact that they also had to complete action on the nine appropriations bills that had failed to pass in the second session of the 110th Congress. In this newsletter we look at the resolution, as well as the recent supplemental spending request made by the president.
