Newe Year's Recipes
One thing you can never have enough of at a party is snacks! Here are a couple of great snack recipes from The Gooseberry Patch: Celebrate Autumn cookbook.
Soft Pretzels w/ Mustard

2 pkg. dry yeast
1-1/2c. warm water
4-1/2c. flour
1/2 t. salt
1/4 c. baking soda in 1 c. water
yellow, Dijon and spicy brown mustards
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Sift flour into large bowl. Add yeast and salt to flour. Mix well and allow to rise about 15 minutes. Roll into long strips about 8 inches long and place in shallow pan and soda solution for 2 minutes. Form into desired shapes and place onto greased cookie sheet. Sprinkle with salt as desired. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Makes 12 pretzels. Serve with assortment of mustards.
Championship Artichoke Dip

Try serving this hot and cheesy dip in a scooped out bread bowl. Simply brush the insides with olive oil and bake in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
2 c. Parmesan cheese
2 c. mozzarella cheese
1 c. mayonnaise
2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
16-oz. can artichoke hearts, drained and finely chopped
Mix all ingredients thoroughly. Bake at 380 degrees for 45 minutes. Serve with an assortment of crackers.
