Featured Item: Mattresses
This month The Granary is proud to feature our extensive line of Amish made mattresses. We carry 6 different styles of mattresses, Firm, Plush, Elite, Ultima, Ultrapedic and Deluxe. Sizes range from twin to queen, and we also do custom sizes to fit your needs.
Our first mattress is the Firm. The Mattress unit has 364 -12 3/4" gauge coils or 364 - 12 gauge offset coils in the full size, 448 & 450 in queen size, and 550 & 560 in King size. These are 2 of the finer spring units available (Note: The lower the gauge of wire the heavier it is). Always compare not only the number of coils but also the wire gauge. The firm is VERY firm, and perfect for those people who demand a firm sleeping surface. The Firm mattress features wire edge supports along the sides of the mattress where the maximum sitting weight is. The twin has 20 side supports, the full has 22, the queen has 24 and the king has 26. It is made up of a 3 Part insulation system consisting of a quality resonated fiber pad, oil tempered wire insulator covering the unit plus a girdle pad over the center where the maximum weight is to keep the padding from pushing down the spring. The Firm has Heavy Duty 1.8 wt. Convoluted foam (Egg Crate Foam) under the ticking (cover) to conform to your body and give you lasting comfort (NOTE: The higher the foam wt. The more durable it is). The Firm model has a 1.8 wt. Non-Convoluted Foam (Egg Crate Foam) Heavy weight cotton damask * cover quilted to a high-density 1.5 weight foam *Knit cover also available. The Firm has double reinforced handles in the sides of the mattress. If purchased w/ a box spring, all mattresses have a 3-year total replacement and a 15-year Pro rated Warranty.
Our next mattress is the Plush. The Mattress unit has 364 -12 3/4" gauge coils or 368 - 12" gauge offset coils in the full size, 448 & 450 in queen size, 550 & 560 in King size. These are 2 of the finer spring units available (Note: The lower the gauge of wire the heavier it is). The Plush has wire edge supports along the sides of the mattress where the maximum sitting weight is. There are 20 supports in the twin, 22 in the full, 24 in the queen and 26 in the king. The Plush features 3 Part insulation system consisting of a quality resonated fiber pad, oil tempered wire insulator covering the unit, plus a girdle pad over the center where the maximum weight is to keep the padding from pushing down the spring. The Plush has Heavy Duty 1.8 wt. Convoluted foam (Egg Crate Foam) under the ticking (cover) to conform to your body and give you lasting comfort (NOTE: The higher the foam wt. The more durable it is). The mattress also features double reinforced handles in the sides of the mattress. The Plush mattress has long been our most popular mattress. It is softer than the Firm, but can still be considered a firm mattress.
Once our premier mattress, The Elite still measures up to more expensive mattresses when it comes to comfort. The Mattress unit has 368 - 12 3/4 gauge coils in the full size, 450 in Queen, and 575 in King. This is one of the heaviest springs in the industry (NOTE: The lower the gauge of wire, the heavier it is). The Elite has the same edge supports along the sides of the mattress where the maximum sitting weight is around perimeter. The Elite features a 4 Part insulation system consisting of a quality resonated fiber pad, polyester pad, oil tempered wire insulator covering the unit, plus a girdle pad over center where maximum weight is to keep the padding from pushing down into the spring. The Elite has Heavy Duty 1.8 wt. Convoluted foam (Egg Crate Foam) under the ticking (cover) to conform to your body and give you lasting comfort (NOTE: The higher the foam weight, the more durable it is). Extra fine cover quilted to a high-density foam totaling 1 1/2", and also has a layer of fiber to give you a comfortable nights sleep. Like our other mattresses, the Elite has double reinforced handles on the sides of the mattress.
For those of you who are looking for the Ultimate sleeping experience from a spring mattress, we present the Ultima! The Mattress unit has 368 - 12 3/4 gauge coils in the full size, 450 in Queen, and 575 in King. This is one of the heaviest springs in the industry (NOTE: The lower the gauge of wire, the heavier it is). Like our other mattresses, the Ultima has the same edge supports along the sides of the mattress where the maximum sitting weight is around perimeter. The Ultima also has a 4 Part insulation system consisting of a quality resonated fiber pad, polyester pad, oil tempered wire insulator covering the unit, plus a girdle pad over center where maximum weight is to keep the padding from pushing down into the spring. The Ultima features Heavy Duty 1.8 wt. Convoluted foam (Egg Crate Foam) under the ticking (cover) to conform to your body and give you lasting comfort (NOTE: The higher the foam weight the more durable it is). The Ultima has an extra fine cover quilted to a high-density foam totaling 1 1/2", and also has a layer of fiber to give you a comfortable nights sleep. The Ultima features double reinforced handles on the sides of the mattress. Setting the Ultima apart from our other mattresses, it has pressure sensitive foam under the cover in addition to the convoluted foam. The additional foam decreases the need for mattress turning.
New to the Granary is the Ultrapedic mattress. The Ultrapedic is constructed of viscoelastic material that was discovered through NASA's anti-G-force research. This material is sensitive to body heat and mass. It absorbs the pressure from your body, but never presses back. The core of the mattress is made up of billions of microporoscopic memory cells. There are no hard steel springs inside, eliminating the motion you feel from an ordinary mattress. The Ultrapedic features a 3-year warranty; if you aren't satisfied with your mattress, return it within 3 years for a full refund.
Last but not least, is the Deluxe mattress. The Deluxe is perfect for bunk or children’s beds, or even that spare bedroom. The Deluxe has 10 wire edge supports along the sides of the mattress where the maximum sitting weight is. The Deluxe mattress has 312 - 13 gauge bonnell coils in the full, 390 coils in the queen, and 468 coils in the king (Note: The lower the gauge of wire the heavier it is). Always compare not only the number of coils but also the wire gauge. The Deluxe features a 2-part insulation made up of wire insulator and a resinated fiber pad. The Deluxe has durable knit cover with 3/8" 1.2 wt. Foam quilting and 1" 1.5 wt. foam padding.
Be sure to try out all of our mattresses at either of our great locations, you’ll be sure to find one that suits your sleeping needs! For pictures and prices for all of our mattresses, check out our web site at www.ggbarn.com!
