Ask Abe

This month, a reader from Findlay, OH writes: “Dear Abe, what is the best product I can use to clean my Granary furniture?”

Great question, I know our guys get asked this almost every time they deliver a piece to a customer’s home. You should never clean your Granary furniture with any products that contain wax or silicon. These products will have a negative reaction with the catalyzed varnish that is used on your furniture. Products like Murphy’s Oil Soap are safe to use on your furniture. You can use your dishrag or soapy water to clean off your dinner table. I hope this was helpful.

Do you have a question about our products or the Amish lifestyle? If so, email Abe at granaryabe@yahoo.com and he’ll answer your question.
