The Granary is having a Grand Opening Celebration at our Findlay location! The event starts on Wednesday, June 29 and last until Saturday, July 2. This will truly be an event you will not want to miss! We will be offering special financing during the duration of our Grand Opening. Choose between 12 month SAC (no payment) or No Interest financing until 2008! In addition, customers who make a purchase of $200 or more will receive a chance to pop a balloon for a special prize. One balloon will hold a $500 gift certificate! All visitors will be eligible to enter our Grand Prize drawing for a maintenance free poly-vinyl octagon picnic table (your choice of color). Friday and Saturday at our Findlay location, the Red Pig Inn of Ottawa Ohio will be cooking their award winning ribs. Be sure to stop by and pick up dinner before or after you shop! We will also have free Amish buggy rides, and a chance to meet some of our Amish craftsmen at the Findlay store on Saturday. This will be a unique experience and will give customers a chance to meet and get in touch with the craftsmen who make their furniture! Our new store is located at 7977 CR 236, Findlay. Hours for the Grand Opening will be 10Am - 8PM, don't miss it!

Did you know the Granary had Gazebos? Our Amish made Gazebos are available in either treated wood or maintenance free poly-vinyl, and come in six styles! Choose from Victorian, Classic, XColonial, Heavy Duty Colonial, Brookside or the Teahouse. Sizes range from 7' X 9' up to 16' X 16', and we will do custom sizes! We have Square, Rectangular and Octagonal Gazebos, so finding one to fit your yard, garden or patio won't be a problem. Available options include removable screens or glass enclosure, benches, cedar shingles, dimensional shingles and more! Most come assembled, but if getting back to your site is a problem we also offer on site assembly. Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad w/Peppercorn Dressing

3 or 4 chicken breasts, grilled and cubed
1/2 c. blue cheese, crumbled
1/2 c. tomatoes, diced
1/2 c. avocado, diced
1/2 c. bacon, cooked, drained & crumbled
1/2 c. hard-boiled eggs, diced
12 asparagus spears, blanched
6 c. lettuce (Romaine & red tip look beautiful)

Dressing:
1 1/2 c. light mayonnaise
1 1/2 c. sour cream
4 T. black pepper, freshly cracked
1 T. lemon juice
3/4 c. parmesan cheese, grated
1 c. water
1 T. fresh garlic, minced
salt to taste

Arrange chicken, blue cheese, tomato, avocado, bacon, eggs and asparagus on a platter lined with lettuce. In mixing bowl, whisk together dressing ingredients; mix well and spoon over salad.

Raspberry Sorbet

2 c. sugar
1 c. water
3 pints fresh raspberries
4 T. fresh lemon juice
fresh whole raspberries for garnish

Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Set aside to cool. Place raspberries, cooled syrup and lemon juice in a blender and puree. Strain and refrigerate. Freeze in an ice cream machine, or in the freezer, stirring every so often until soft-frozen.
