Tobacco Reconstituted Leaf Machine Upgrade with T-250Wi Drives

Two reconstituted leaf machines at Philip Morris have been upgraded using TM GE's T-250Wi ac drives. Previously running on mechanical line shafts, the new electrical section drives have brought more reliability to the production of tobacco reconstituted leaf, with less maintenance.

The new company name TM GE Automation Systems reflects the recent affiliation of Toshiba, Mitsubishi, and GE in the industrial systems business. As a result of the new business name, product names have also changed.
