"Control System for the New Air Dried Tissue (ADT) Machine Concept"
by Darren Honaker, Paper Industry Application Engineer

The concept of Air Dried Tissue Machines is relatively new in the tissue industry and promises substantial savings both in energy consumption and in mechanical design by eliminating conventional Yankee or Through-Air-Dryer (TAD) sections. In an ADT tissue machine the sheet is dried via electric heat dryers. The control of an ADT machine is similar to traditional tissue machines, but the differences include “droopy” speed regulators and less open draws between sections.  To download the paper, please click on the link: Control System for the New Air Dried Tissue (ADT) Machine
